Ingredients

For seasoning:

Instructions
wash the rice and moong dhal separately, drain all the water completely
Heat 1 tsp of ghee in pressure cooker
Add the moon dhal, roast it for 5 minutes till you get the nice aroma
Now add the rice, and 4 cups of water
Cover the lid, pressure cook for 5 whistles
After pressure got released, open the lid. Add pepper powder and give it a mix
For seasoning:
Heat the ghee in a seasoning pan, add pepper, cumin, cashews, and then turn off the flame. then add curry leaves and asafoetida
Pour it over the Pongal we prepared, Now the Pongal is ready
