Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rava (fine) / sooji
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp urad dhal
  • 1 tsp channa dhal
  • 8 cashews
  • A pinch asafoetida
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 green chilly (chopped)
  • 1 onion (chopped) medium-sized
  • ¼ cup carrot
  • ¼ cup beans
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • cup water

Instructions
 

  • take rava/ sooji in a pan, dry fry it for few minutes till you get the nice aroma in low flame
  • Transfer the rava in a plate or bowl, keep aside
  • Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, cumin. Add urad, channa dhal, cashews curry leaves, green chilly and asafoetida
  • Fry it for few seconds in medium flame till the dhal gets crisp
  • Then add in chopped onion, saute it till it becomes translucent
  • Add the veggies (¼cup carrot, ¼cup beans, ¼ green peas), saute
  • Now add half salt and ¼ tsp of turmeric powder. Saute it for 2 minutes
  • Now pour 2½ cup of water, add enough salt at this stage
  • Bring into a boil
  • Once it boils, reduce the flame to low, add the fried rava gradually by mixing
  • keep stir, once the water content absorb by rava, cover it by lid for 4 minutes
  • then open the lid add a tsp of ghee and coriander leaves, mix well. It is done
