Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp cashews
  • 1 tbsp almonds
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 2 cup shredded bottle gourd 500gram bottle gourd
  • 1 litre milk
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder

Instructions
 

shredding the bottle gourd:

  • Firstly peel the bottle gourd nicely,
  • Secondly, scrap the seed portion from it
  • once the all the seed portion removed completely, it is ready to grate
  • Grate it with large sized holes in the grater

Making Bottle gourd kheer:

  • Firstly, heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan (or non-stick pan). roast the cashews and almonds, and take off.
    Next fry the raisins to swell up
  • In the same pan with remaining ghee, add in grated bottle gourd, saute it for 5 minutes in medium flame
  • Now pour in 1 litre of milk, bring into a boil, and then reduce the flame to medium, stir occasionally
  • Heat it for 15 minutes by keeping the flame medium
  • And then add ½ cup of sugar, stir well
  • Again keep the flame medium for 5 minutes (stir occasionally)
  • turn off the flame then add ½ tsp of cardamom powder and mix
    Next add fried nuts and raisins
    Give a mix
