Cabbage Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 tsp urad dhal
  • 2 pods garlic
  • 3 green chilly
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 3 cups cabbage (chopped)
  • few pieces capsicum
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup rice (cooked)
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper powder
  • few coriander leaves

Method
 

  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add star anise, urad dhal, garlic cloves, green chilly, curry leaves, saute
  2. Add onion and saute till turns into translucent
  3. Add green peas and saute
  4. Add chopped cabbage and capsicum, saute
  5. Add salt and turmeric powder meanwhile, it takes 8-10 minutes for the cabbage to be cooked
  6. Add lemon juice once the veggie got cooked
  7. Add cooked rice and pepper powder and mix well
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves
