- Take 1 cup of moong dal, ¼ cup of urad dal, ¼ tsp of fenugreek seeds in a mixing bowl. Rinse altogether well until we get clear water
- Soak it for 3 hours
- After 3 hours, drain off all the water from it, grind it into a fine batter
- ferment it for 8 hours or overnight.
- After the batter got fermented well, add ½ tsp of salt and ¼ tsp of dry ginger powder. Mix well
- pour it in the idli platter. Steam cook it for 10 minutes, that's it. Serve it with chutney.
