Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup shredded bottle gourd (half portion of a bottle gourd)
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 onion (finely chopped) medium-sized
  • 1 tbsp ginger (finely chopped)
  • 3 green chilly (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • few curry leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep frying

Instructions
 

Shredding bottle gourd:

  • firstly peel off the bottle gourd
  • remove the seed portion from it
  • and then shred the bottle gourd and keep aside

For vada mixture:

  • In a mixing bowl, take 1 cup of shredded bottle gourd, and then add r1 cup of rice flour
  • Next, add finely chopped onion, ginger, coriander, green chilly, curry leaves.
  • Then add 1 tsp of cumin and salt to taste
  • Firstly mix well
  • Next, add 1 or 2 tbsp of water and mix, the vada mixture is ready

Patting the vadas:

  • Take polythene paper or greaseproof paper (parchment paper)
  • apply a few drops of oil over it
  • Get a small portion from the vada mixture, make a perfect ball
  • place over the oil applied greaseproof paper (parchment paper) or polythene paper
  • pat it flat and round

Deep-frying:

  • Heat the oil in a pan, finally fry the vadas in medium flame till it turns golden brown
