Method
Shredding bottle gourd:
- firstly peel off the bottle gourd
- remove the seed portion from it
- and then shred the bottle gourd and keep aside
For vada mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, take 1 cup of shredded bottle gourd, and then add r1 cup of rice flour
- Next, add finely chopped onion, ginger, coriander, green chilly, curry leaves.
- Then add 1 tsp of cumin and salt to taste
- Firstly mix well
- Next, add 1 or 2 tbsp of water and mix, the vada mixture is ready
Patting the vadas:
- Take polythene paper or greaseproof paper (parchment paper)
- apply a few drops of oil over it
- Get a small portion from the vada mixture, make a perfect ball
- place over the oil applied greaseproof paper (parchment paper) or polythene paper
- pat it flat and round
Deep-frying:
- Heat the oil in a pan, finally fry the vadas in medium flame till it turns golden brown
