Firstly, take 2 tbsp of moong dal in a pressure cooker, ¾ cup of water, 1/4 tsp of gheePressure cook it for 6 whistles, after pressure is released open the lid, and set it aside for later use.
Making aval kara pongal:
secondly, Take 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan, put 1 cup of aval, and roast it in medium flame until the aval puff up
Next, add 2 cups of water, and boil it in medium flame
once the water content evaporates, turn off the flame. add salt at this stage.
seasoning:
Heat 1 tbsp of ghee, roast 1 tbsp of cashews, and add cumin, peppercorns, ginger, and green chili. fry it for a few seconds.and add curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida.
