Ingredients
  

Ingredients for grinding:
  • 1 tbsp Rice
  • 1 tbsp Chana dal
  • 2 Dry Red chilly
  • 2 tbsp Shredded coconut
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 inch ginger
  • few curry leaves
Ingredients for making kulambu:
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 2 green chilly
  • few curry leaves
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 cup fenugreek leaves (chopped) small bunch/ 50 gram
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • 3 cups butter milk
  • 1 cup water
  • salt to taste

Method
 

Ingredients for grinding:
  1. Firstly, take tbsp of rice and chana dal in a bowl, soak it for 30 minutes
  2. After 30 minutes, drain off the water, transfer it to blender jar
  3. Then add in 1-inch ginger, 1 tsp of cumin, 2 dry red chilly, few curry leaves, 2 tbsp of grated coconut. Blend finely with enough water, and keep aside
Ingredients for making kulambu:
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil, splutter 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp of cumin, then add few curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida
  2. Next, add 1 cup of chopped fenugreek leaves, saute it in low flame for 1 minute
  3. add in 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, and salt
  4. Now pour in 1 cup of water
  5. then add, ground paste mix well, keep the flame low for few minutes until it gets thickened
  6. Now pour in 3 cups of buttermilk, mix well, turn off the flame
  7. now the mor kulambu is ready, transfer it to a serving container.
