Firstly, take tbsp of rice and chana dal in a bowl, soak it for 30 minutes
After 30 minutes, drain off the water, transfer it to blender jar
Then add in 1-inch ginger, 1 tsp of cumin, 2 dry red chilly, few curry leaves, 2 tbsp of grated coconut. Blend finely with enough water, and keep aside
Ingredients for making kulambu:
Heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil, splutter 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp of cumin, then add few curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida
Next, add 1 cup of chopped fenugreek leaves, saute it in low flame for 1 minute
add in 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, and salt
Now pour in 1 cup of water
then add, ground paste mix well, keep the flame low for few minutes until it gets thickened
Now pour in 3 cups of buttermilk, mix well, turn off the flame
now the mor kulambu is ready, transfer it to a serving container.
