Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup green moong dal / green gram
  • ½ cup urad dal
  • ½ cup idly rice
  • 1 tbsp chana dal
  • ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

Rinsing and Soaking:

  • Take 1 cup of green moong dal, ½ cup of urad dal, ½ cup of idly rice, 1 tbsp of chana dal, and ¼ tsp of fenugreek seeds in a bowl
  • Rinse thrice or more times till the water getting clear in the bowl
  • Soak it with enough water for 6 hours or overnight

Blending:

  • After 6 hours or overnight, drain off the water from the bowl
  • blend finely it with some ice cubes along with water or using ice water
  • Bring the batter to dosa batter consistency by adding water
  • Add salt and mix. Now the dosa batter is ready

For making dosa:

  • After thoroughly clean the dosa pan with tissue, heat it well, then reduce to lower flame, again clean it with tissue.
  • And then pour a ladle of dosa batter and spread
  • Drizzle some oil/ ghee/ butter (keep the flame low for crispy dosa)
  • Cover it with lid for few seconds
  • take off the lid, once the dosa got slightly brown at the sides, carefully take it with dosa ladle
