mushroom recipe | chinese mushroom pepper fry

Ingredients
  

For deep frying:
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • ¼ cup cornflour
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup water
  • 250 gram Mushroom (chopped)
For mushroom pepper fry:
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion
  • 3 garlic (chopped)
  • 1 green chilly
  • ½ cup capsicum (chopped)
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp soya sauce (light)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • ¼ tsp pepper powder ¼ tsp up to 2 tsp you can use, depending on your taste

Method
 

For deep-frying:
  1. In a mixing bowl, take ¼ cup of all-purpose flour (maida), ¼ cup of cornflour, 1 tsp of pepper powder, ½ tsp of salt. Mix well
  2. Then add approximately ¼ cup of water and make medium thick batter for coating mushrooms
  3. Put chopped mushrooms in the batter and gently mix it with hand
  4. fry it in the oil until it becomes slightly brown. And keep aside
For mushroom pepper fry:
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil, put chopped onion, chopped garlic, 1 green chilly, saute for a minute, and then add chopped capsicum
  2. Next, add 1/2 tsp of sugar and saute for few minutes or until the onion and capsicum pieces get caramelized. Now add 1/4 tsp of salt,
  3. Pour in 2 tsp of light soya sauce and 2 tbsp of water.
  4. then add fried mushroom pieces and mix well
  5. Finally, add pepper powder and mix well
  6. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
