Peanut chutney

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unroasted peanut
  • 2 dry red chilly
  • a small size tamarind
  • salt as required
For Tempering:
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • few curry leaves
  • ½ tsp urad dhal
  • ¼ tsp asafoetida

Method
 

roasting the peanuts:
  1. firstly dry roast the 1/2 cup of peanuts in medium flame for 5 minutes
  2. Transfer this peanut into plate, remove the husk (just do it outside of the house, otherwise it would end up with the house messy)
blending:
  1. Add this unhusk peanut into blender jar
  2. Now add ¼ cup coconut, 2 red chilly, tamarind, salt
  3. Blend it into a smooth paste with little water
For Tempering:
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds, add urad dhal, curry leaves, and asafoetida
  2. Pour this over chutney and mix
