Ingredients
  

For making rasam:
  • cup water
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp peppercorns
  • ½ cup tamarind extract
  • ½ tsp jaggery powder
For seasoning:
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 garlic
  • ½ tsp pepper crushed
  • few curry leaves
  • 1 Kashmiri red chilly
  • pinch Asafoetida

Method
 

For making rasam:
  1. Firstly, take 2½ cup in a pan, and heat it up
  2. Add in ½ tsp of tumeric powder, 1 tsp of peppercorns, ½ cup of tamarind extract. Now boil it for 5 minutes
For seasoning:
  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a tadka pan, splutter ½ tsp of mustard seeds, add in ½ tsp of cumin seeds, 2 crushed garlic, ½ tsp of pepper crushed, 1 kashmiri red chilly, few curry leaves, A pinch of asafoetida.
  2. Add this seasoning mixture in rasam in mix well
  3. finally add in ½ tsp of jaggery powder in the rasam and mix well.
