Method
For making dough:
- In a mixing bowl, take 1 cup of all-purpose flour, add a pinch of salt and mix
- Now add 2 tbsp of ghee, and mix to get the crumbled texture of the dough
- after this add water little by little to make a tight dough just like poori dough
- cover and rest it for 20 minutes
For making sugar syrup:
- In a pan, pour ½ cup water and 1 cup sugar
- heat it for 5 minutes
- And then add cardamom powder and mix well
- add 1 tsp of lemon juice and give a quick mix
after 20 minutes:
- After 20 minutes, Take a rolling board, apply some oil over it
- Take the dough, divide it into half
- place the one half, roll into a medium-thin sheet
- Use a cookie cutter or small bowl, make the circle shape and take off and keep aside. Also, make some small cylindrical shaped dough and keep aside
- Repeat the same for another half of the dough
- Keep the circle-shaped dough and cylindrical shaped dough
Making roses:
- Place the two circle-shaped dough one on one
- make a dent at the center using the index finger
- then place the cylindrical shaped dough over it
- cut the edges circular-shaped dough vertically into 4 parts, without affecting the centre
- then fold it like the rose petals as shown in the picture and videos
frying:
- Heat oil, fry the roses in medium flame to mild golden brown color
dipping in sugar syrup:
- put the fried roses into the sugar syrup for 3 minutes and then take off and serve
