soya chunks stir fry Tasty and healthy soya chunks stir fry is a perfect combination of rice, tasty and healthy protein-rich food. It is a handy dish whenever we are run out of veggies at home, let us see how to prepare soya chunks stir fry

Cuisine : Indian

Course: side dish

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients :

Soya chunks – 1 cup (medium-sized)

Oil – 3 tbsp

mustard -1/2 tsp

cumin – 1/2 tsp

green chillies – 2

Onion – 1 (finely chopped)

Ginger garlic crushed – 1 tbsp

Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Coriander powder – 1/2 tbsp

Chilly powder -1/2 tbsp

Garam masala powder – 1 tsp

Tomato – 1 (finely chopped)

Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp

Coriander leaves (chopped) – 1/4 cup

Salt to taste

Cook with care

Preparation method :

1. To start, boil water in pan add some salt

2. Once it boils, switch off the flame, add the soya chunks, close the lid, soak it for 10 minutes.

3. After 10 minutes, take off the soya chunks

4. In a pan add oil, when it is heated, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds

5. After it spluttered, add Green chillies and curry leaves

6. Add ginger garlic crushed, saute

7 Add onion and saute for 2 minutes

8. Now add the spice powders ( turmeric, coriander, chilly, garam masala) one by one and saute for few seconds

9. To add add the soya chunks, squeeze the water content then add and mix well

10. Add pepper and coriander leaves

Stepwise Picture Recipe:

Soaking soya in hot salted water:

soak the soya granules in hot salted water for 10 minutes
take off from water after 10 min, remember it must be squeezable soft

Stir fry:

Heat the oil, splutter mustard and cumin, add curry leaves and green chillies
add ginger-garlic paste/ crushed
fry it
add chopped onion
fry it turns into translucent
add spice powders
fry it in low flame for 30 seconds
add tomato, saute till it get mushy
squeeze out the water from soya chunks and add into the pan
mix well
add pepper powder
add coriander leaves
ready to serve

Now the soya chunks stir fry is ready.
