Coconut milk Pulao | Coconut milk Rice is a delicious food because it has a unique fragrance. We can have it in Lunch or Dinner with some masala curry if you want. It is easy to make recipe.

Alternatives:

you can add even more veggies with this like Carrot, beans, etc

You can cook in either way, in pressure cook or in pot. If you’re cooking in pot, add 2 cups of coconut milk, cook it for 20-25 minutes. Also, you can use any rice, Basmati or normal rice

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp ghee/oil
  • 1 tsp black cumin
  • 3 cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 1 Marathi mokku
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 green chilly
  • 1 tbsp cashews
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste/crushed
  • 1 onion(chopped)
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 1 handful mint leaves
  • 1 handful coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 cup basmati rice (soaked for 20 minutes)
  • 11/2 cup coconutmilk
  • salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat the ghee/oil in pressure cooker, add black cumin to splutter
  2. Add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star anise
  3. Add cashews and saute
  4. Add green chilly, ginger garlic paste and saute
  5. Add chopped onion, saute till turns into translucent
  6. Add green peas and saute
  7. Add a handful of mint leaves and coriander leaves, saute it for 30 seconds till it shrinks
  8. Add salt and garam masala powder and saute
  9. Add soaked basmati rice and mix well
  10. Add coconut milk and mix
  11. cover the lid, let it cook for 1 whistle in medium flame
  12. open the lid after pressure released, fluff it with a spoon.
    Now the coconut milk pulao is ready

Stepwise Picture Recipes:

Heat ghee/oil in a pan, add black cumin to splutter
Add all the whole spices
Put Cashews
Add Green chili
Now add ginger-garlic paste/crushed and saute
Add chopped onion, saute it till it turns into translucent
put the Green peas

And a handful of coriander leaves, Saute in low flame for 30 seconds
Add salt
Put garam masala powder
 Coconut milk Rice
mix well
Add soaked basmati rice
 Coconut milk Rice
Now add coconut milk, mix well, bring into a boil
 Coconut milk Rice
Cover the lid, let it cook for 1 whistle in medium flame
 Coconut milk Rice
Open the lid after pressure released
 Coconut milk Rice
Fluff it with spoon
 Coconut milk Rice
Serve with love

Even the Potato curry would be a nice combination to this pulao, Enjoy.
