
Wheat appam | banana appam | banana fritters. It is a simple, easy sweet recipe with minimal ingredients, But also tastes delicious. we can store this sweet for 1 week in an air-tight container, it will remain good. It is also a prasadham dish mostly it is made in karthigai deepam by people in Tamilnadu. If we want to make quick prasadham for pujas, this quick recipe would really help.

Method
Melting jaggery:
- Take ½ cup of jaggery in a pan, add ¼ cup of water, mix well
- Stir until the jaggery melts
- then turn off the flame, keep the jaggery water aside
Mixing the fritter mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, take 1 cup of wheat flour
- Add a pinch of salt
- and ¼ tsp of cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp broken cashews, Mix well
- Add 2 banana (mashed), give a mix
- Now strain the jaggery water straight away into the mixing bowl containg wheat flour
- mix well, mixture should be thick paste
Deep frying:
- Now heat oil in a kadai once the oil is heated well, reduce the temperature to low, now put the small portion wheat-banana mixture
- deep fry it in low to medium heat
- When it turns golden brown, take off from the oil gently
