Ingredients
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- ½ tap mustard seeds
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp urad dhal
- few curry leaves
- 2 green chilly
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 250 gram snake gourd (chopped)
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- 1 cup yogurt (curd)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan
- splutter ½ tsp of mustard seeds, ½ tsp of cumin, ½ tsp of urad dhal
- Then add curry leaves, 2 green chilies and 1 tsp of chopped ginger, saute it for a while
- Now add chopped snake gourd, saute
- put ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and salt, mix well
- Add little water, 1 or 2 tbsp of water, cover and cook for 5 minutes (or until the veggie got cooked well)
- After snake gourd cooked well, turn off the flame, let it cool
- In a bowl, take 1 cup of beaten yogurt/ curd
- transfer the cooked snake gourd into the bowl containing curd, mix wellIt's done.

- choosing tender snake gourd would be well and good in both ways of taste and health.
- sometimes the veggie from climbers (Kodi kai) will give bitterness even though the outlook is perfect. While chopping, just taste one piece to ensure that is not bitter in taste and then proceed to cook
- Always aware of adding the amount of salt, firstly add little bit salt, then you can adjust the amount of salt by tasting it
