Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp mustard seeds
- few curry leaves
- 1 Kashmiri red chilly
- 1 onion (chopped)(small-sized)
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste (or crushed)
- 250 gm snake gourd (chopped)
- ½ tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
- ½ tsp garam masala powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 10 cube paneer
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
Instructions
Prior work:
- Firstly, peel off the snake gourd, rise it in water
- chop into 1 inch thin slices, keep aside
- Crumble 10 cubes of paneer well and keep aside
For stir fry:
- Heat the oil in a pan, splutter ½ tsp of mustard seeds, add in curry leaves, 1 Kashmiri red chilly
- Now add chopped onion, saute it well till it becomes glossy
- Put chopped snake gourd, saute it for a minute, add salt
- Add the spice powders, saute it for 30 seconds in low flame
- Add 2 tbsp of water, keep the flame low, lid on, cook it for 5 minutes in covered condition, give stir in regular intervals
- open the lid, check if the veggie got cooked, if so add crumbled paneer, mix wellAdd salt if required
- Garnish with coriander leaves

- firstly, wash the snake gourd, wipe off the moisture
- peel off the skin slightly (do not peel in deep)
- cut into half, remove the seed and fibrous portion inside the veggie clearly
- and then chop into pieces
