Ingredients
- 2 tbsp sesame oil (or coconut oil, or oil of your choice)
- 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp urad dhal
- 1 tbsp cashews
- 1 cup rice (cooked)
- 6 tsp curry leaves powder
- salt to taste
Instructions
- To begin with, heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a pan
- Secondly, splutter 1/4 tsp mustard seeds, then add 1/2 tsp urad dhal, 1 tbsp of cashews
- saute it till urad dhal and cashew turns golden brown
- now add 1 cup rice (cooked)
- then add 6 tsp of curry leaves powder and salt, finally, mix well
Alterations:
I have used, urad dhal and cashews here, but also, peanuts (groundnuts) channa dhal also can be used
Note:
- Moreover, As this rice made up of powder, it needs more oil than any other rice, so you can 2 tbsp of oil to makes the rice moistured
- and also, if you are going to give it for kids, you can use ghee with oil, or entirely ghee
