Badham Halwa is a scrumptious dessert that never let us get bored for the turns. Making Badham Halwa doesn’t need more time nor more work. It does need our complete attention while cooking. In the case of carelessness, there may be a chance of getting burnt in the vessel. Keep stirring in moderate heat, the addition of ghee on time makes it turned out perfect halwa. So let us see how to make it.
Let us get into the recipe of Badham Halwa:
Badham Halwa
Ingredients
- ½ cup Almond/ Badham
- hot boiling water
- 3 tbsp ghee
- A pinch saffron strands
- ½ cup sugar
Instructions
Soaking and Grinding:
- Take the almonds in a bowl, pour in the hot boiled water. Soak it for 45 minutes
- After 45 minutes, peel of the almonds one by one put into the blender jar
- Grind it into fine paste with 1/4 cup of water approximately
To make halwa:
- Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan, add ground paste, keep the flame in low
- saute it for a minute
- Then add one more tbsp of ghee, saute
- now add the 1/2 cup of sugar, mix well
- Keep stirring in medium to low flame
- when it thickens add one tbsp of ghee and mix
- In the end, the mixture gets nonsticky with the pan and also gathers together, look like halwa At that time turn off the flame.

Note:
Once you turned off the flame immediately transfer the Halwa in a greased plate or bowl
Keep stirring at all the steps in low to medium flame
Instead of saffron, feel free to use a pinch of turmeric powder in tbsp of water, for bringing up the mild yellow color
Use heavy bottomed pan / non-stick pan to make halwa; I recommend nonstick pan for making this Badham Halwa
After the halwa gets cooled, it gets even thicker than when it is hot. so turn off the flame when the halwa more flowy, after it gets cooled it will come to the exact halwa consistency
