- 1½ cup barnyard millet
- 1 cup urad dal (split)
- A pinch fenugreek seeds
- wash and soak 1½ cup of barnyard millet, 1 cup of urad dal (split) seperately for 2 hours
- blend it into a smooth batter
- ferment it for 8 hours or overnight
- after fermented well, make idli asusual.
