Ingredients
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1 tbsp cashews
- 1 tbsp almonds
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 2 cup shredded bottle gourd 500gram bottle gourd
- 1 litre milk
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
Instructions
shredding the bottle gourd:
- Firstly peel the bottle gourd nicely,
- Secondly, scrap the seed portion from it
- once the all the seed portion removed completely, it is ready to grate
- Grate it with large sized holes in the grater
Making Bottle gourd kheer:
- Firstly, heat 2 tbsp of ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan (or non-stick pan). roast the cashews and almonds, and take off.Next fry the raisins to swell up
- In the same pan with remaining ghee, add in grated bottle gourd, saute it for 5 minutes in medium flame
- Now pour in 1 litre of milk, bring into a boil, and then reduce the flame to medium, stir occasionally
- Heat it for 15 minutes by keeping the flame medium
- And then add ½ cup of sugar, stir well
- Again keep the flame medium for 5 minutes (stir occasionally)
- turn off the flame then add ½ tsp of cardamom powder and mix Next add fried nuts and raisinsGive a mix
