Rose Phirni is north Indian dessert, traditionally served in earthenware, you can serve either hot or cold, Instead of adding artificial colors, I have used beetroot slices. this dessert is a yummy, delicious dessert, we can make it on any special occasions

I have used brown raw sugar here, you can use white sugar too with the same quantity

Ingredients:
Milk – 500 ml
Basmati rice – 1/4 cup
sugar – 1/2 cup
beetroot – 3 pieces
Cashew nuts – 8
Almonds – 8
rose water – 1 tbsp (or rose essence – 2 drops)

Preparation Method:
- First of all, wash the rice and blend into a coarse powder (no soaking needed)
2. Heat the milk in a pan, bring into boil
3. once the milk boils, add the blended rice into it, keep stirring
within 10-15 minutes, rice cooked well
4. now add the sugar and mix well
5. then add the beetroot pieces
let it there for 1 minute, keep stirring
6. take the beetroot pieces, add the nuts.
7. turn off the flame, now add the rose syrup and mix
STEPWISE PICTURES:
Take the basmati rice, rinse 2,3 times in water to get rid of the specks of dirt (no soaking needed)
now the rose phirni is ready, you can serve it hot and cold as well
